I just had my 42nd birthday last week. I had a fabulous time celebrating it! I feel more confident and more wise then any other time in my life. Forties is a time to blossom in your life! One thing that I have learned over the years and I am consistently still working on is the art of just saying no! I am a nurturing type individual that doesn't like conflict. If someone ever invited me to something or asked me to do something I always said yes if I was available. I felt obligated and that is was the "Christian thing to do." I have gotten to a point in my life where I don't need to go to parties and events that I know I will not enjoy just for the sole purpose of being a people pleaser. Forties seems to be a time where people are really stretched out thin with caring for children, possibly, grandchildren and caring for aging adults etc... Makes my head spin with all the activities demanded
