The Ghetto State of Mind

The Ghetto State of Mind  The Ghetto state of mind is an intriguing concept. In my hometown this mind set is on an upscale. It has always been there but in the last 5 years its grown rampantly like wildfire. The ghetto state of mind comes in all colors and nationalities. You can identify it by how someone carries themselves and by their words and actions and how they treat others.   Let us explore this unaesthetic mind set.  This mind set is at one of the lowest mindsets. In this mindset the person always has to be right, always gets their way. Putting their needs first is always on their agenda. Some examples are screaming and honking at an elderly to cross the street as opposed to a more noble mindset of going out of your way to help an elderly person cross the street. This mindset is also displayed by not letting people merge on the highway knowing that now they will now have to exit. In some states not merging is against the law but it is just human decency tha

God is Beauty

                         God is Beauty

I was walking by the beautiful lake today early in the morning. Usually if I walk it is in the afternoon, because I am not a morning person, but how different it is to walk in the morning compared to the afternoon. There is a whole different essence about it. The waters were more sparkley and alive. I could smell the lake more vividly. It was complete Beauty.

As I walked and enjoyed this beautiful eye feast. I pondered about God's magnificance. His creation.

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. Romans 1:20

Yet there are people out there looking at all this beauty and saying Meh to God. Really? They worship the creation instead of the Creator. I feel  sad of how much they are missing out. It's like being in awe of the rain without the rainbow. Or admiring the sun with out ever seeing a Sunset.

It reminds me of when I was a child and my family was trying to teach me about death strictly through nature's eyes. They read me a book about a leaf and how it returns to the earth. I was left empty and even a bit scared. It brought no comfort or joy to me. I wished they would have read a book about heaven instead of a shriveled up leaf with no hope but ashes.

As I was walking along the beach one day, admiring the beautiful rocks, I collected some and but them in a bag. I marveled at their beauty. I noticed a very pretty terrecotta rock that stood out in the sand. It was beautiful and it stood out, yet I felt like it was missing something. It reminds me of a beautiful woman from the outside adored in wonderful clothes and looking flawless. Yet without God, is still lackluster just like that rock. Even though it stood out and got my attention I wondered what what missing from the rock. It was the glow, the shine that was missing. It could not compare the clear crystal rock I found that glowed from within. That glow my friends is the HolySpirit. Without the holyspirit everything turns lackluster. True Beauty is gone. Nature is beautiful but when you have your supernatural Glasses on you have a whole new upgrade in your vision.

If you think nature is lovely in it's current form. Just wait till what the New Earth will be like that the bible talks about!

One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD And to meditate in His temple. Psalm 27:4
