                     The Ghetto State of Mind  The Ghetto state of mind is an intriguing concept. In my hometown this mind set is on an upscale. It has always been there but in the last 5 years its grown rampantly like wildfire. The ghetto state of mind comes in all colors and nationalities. You can identify it by how someone carries themselves and by their words and actions and how they treat others.   Let us explore this unaesthetic mind set.  This mind set is at one of the lowest mindsets. In this mindset the person always has to be right, always gets their way. Putting their needs first is always on their agenda. Some examples are screaming and honking at an elderly to cross the street as opposed to a more noble mindset of going out of your way to help an elderly person cross the street. This mindset is also displayed by not letting people merge on the highway knowing that now they will now have to exit. In some states not merging is against the law but it is just human decency tha

Squeeze some lemon on your salad or fish. To make a lemon mask mix a teaspoon of honey, a few drops of lemon juice and a drop of olive oil. Apply this mixture on face and leave on for 20 minutes and then rinse off.

There are so many beauty benefits to Apple Cider Vinegar I could make a whole blog post on it. The benefits come from it's powerful healing compounds, which include acetic acid, potassium, magnesium, probiotics and en-zines. Use this for an all natural salad dressing mixed with some olive oil. Here is one beauty idea to use to help you have shiny hair. Take a old shampoo bottle and fill in with one tablespoon organic apple cider vinegar and one cup of water.Put this on your hair after shampooing, three times a week for best results!

Turmeric is an ancient beauty ingredient used for internal as well as external beauty promoting properties. It is supposed to bring out the hidden glow of the skin! For flawless skin make a turmeric mask. Put on an old shirt first. Mix one teaspoon turmeric,one teaspoon raw honey and one teaspoon of either olive oil or coconut oil. Leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse off and use a dark wash cloth.

Walnuts are rich in omega 3. Starting to get grey hair? Have a handful of walnuts a day to get rid of grey hair. You may be low in copper which walnuts will deliver.

Use milled flax seed and add one tablespoon to your smoothie. To make a flax seed and blue clay mask, you need one tablespoon flax seeds,one teaspoon blue clay and 2-4 drops rosewater. First soak the flax seeds over night and add remaining ingredients in the morning. Mix the paste and apply on your face and neck for 20 minutes, wash off and repeat once a week for radiant skin.  A spoonful of flax seeds makes for aging gracefully!

Kale has vitamin K and promotes healthy blood clotting so the the blood vessels around the eyes don't have you looking like your someone from the night of the living dead cast. Spinach brightens your eyes and this is the first thing people look at. Make sure then to each spinach everyday. Celery helps calm your nerves and helps prevent insomnia so you can get your beauty sleep! Make a celery juice before bedtime. It helps minimize menopause symptoms. Helps you loose weight for a trim body! Broccoli is very high in antioxidants, the vitamin C helps in collagen production and the vitamin E helps protect against UV radiation damage.A added bonus is broccoli also helps to prevent cancer. Avocado, so yummy. This is probably my favorite veggie. For lustrous hair make a hair mask once a week using avocado leave in 20 min. Eating green vegetables daily will have an overall effect on your health and appearance.

11. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

 Cleopatra's secret glow was a concoction that had olive oil in it. Olives have always been one of my favorite foods!! Sophia Loren once shared her beauty secret, she loves taking olive oil baths. To prepare an olive oil bath simply add 5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil and you are done! Another thing you can do to get the olive glow is to put in on in the shower after you have used your body soap, let it rinse off. Your skin will feel like a baby's skin! You can also use it to clean mascara off. Don't forget to use it in your salad for an inner glow.

Salmon is one of the healthiest of proteins.The pigment that makes the fish pink is called astaxanthin, it fights free radicals that damage cell membranes and DNA that cause the skin to age. Dr. Perricone recommends eating wild salmon daily for a nutritional face lift.

 Song of Solomon 4:3 Your lips are like a scarlet ribbon,your mouth is lovely.Your temples behind your veil are like the halves of a pomegranate. Pomegranates have been symbols of good health, fertility,longevity, and prosperity. Pomegranate seed oil deeply penetrates the skin and is loaded with omega 5 which helps lock in moisture and keep bacteria out. Make a serum for your face with pomegranate seed oil. Add a couple drops of frankincense and myrrh to it.

Beets are filled with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants,fiber. They are also high in vitamin C,B-6,folate,manganese,betaine and potassium. Eating beets and drinking beet juice can have profound benefits to your skin,eyes,heart and brain. Kombucha is my new obsession and I am so loving it. It is properly called the"Immortal Health Elixar" by the Chineese. It improves skin tone, texture and brightens the skin! Woo Hoo!  It also combats fine lines and wrinkles. It's a beverage made by fermenting tea and sugar and then utilized as a functional food.The solution has a colony of yeast and bacteria which start the fermentation process as soon as it it's mixed with sugar. After the fermentation process it becomes carbonated. I love carbonated drinks so this is a bonus, yay. It also then contains a load of B Vitamins, probiotics, en-zines,vinegar and acids which are extremely beneficial for health and beauty!



There it is for the 2017 Beauty Food Awards! Miss Kombucha took the crown! In the bible Esther was in a beauty contest and went through rigorous beauty treatments. In Esther 2:8,9 it says,  When the king's order and edict had been proclaimed,many girls, were brought to the citadel of Susa and put under the care of Hegai. Ester was also taken to the king's palace and entrusted to Hagai who had charge of the harem. The girl pleased him and won his favor.
